Dr. Fuhrman

Joel Fuhrman, M.D. is a board-certified family physician, New York Times best-selling author and nutritional researcher who specializes in preventing and reversing disease through nutritional and natural methods. Dr. Fuhrman is an internationally recognized expert on nutrition and natural healing, and has appeared on hundreds of radio and television shows including The Dr. Oz Show, The Today Show, Good Morning America, and Live with Kelly. His book Eat to Live is really eye-opening. Endorsed by Dr. Oz, Eat to live has a lot of good information about the nature of fruits and vegetables, the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables vs. meats and dairy, and also the pretty incredible reversal of many health problems including but not limited to, diabetes, coronary heart failure and in some cases, cancer.

Do you want something that will help you understand what the food you eat could do to you? This book does a fabulous job of explaining how our bodies digest food, what different foods help our bodies and most importantly, how we can eat to get the most nutritional value for each calorie we eat. It's like getting the most bang for your caloric buck!

Dr. McDougall  

A physician and nutrition expert who teaches better health through vegetarian cuisine, John A. McDougall, MD has been studying, writing, and speaking out about the effects of nutrition on disease for over 30 years.  Dr. John and Mary McDougall believe that people should look and feel great for a lifetime (About, 

He has a very similar premise as Dr. Fuhrman, though of the two Dr. McDougall is a little more entertaining. :) He focuses a lot on the benefits of starch and again, lots of fruits and vegetables!!!! He focuses as well on the fact that reversal of chronic illnesses is entirely possible. He has a free diet program online that will help introduce you into the different ways to revamp your meals, and help you lose weight, feel great and live.

His website is awesome, again I enjoy his manner of speaking and the way he puts things so I would highly advise taking time to watch his series of videos that teach how to help with things from acne, to osteoporosis, to diarrhea, just a ton of things. It's very informative, and pretty enjoyable.
